SUMMARY:CMMC 2.0 Final Rule Webinar
DESCRIPTION:In October 2024\, the Department of Defense (DoD) issued a final rule that established the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (“CMMC”) Program. With an effective date of December 2024\, the final rule establishes the CMMC program in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) in advance of an update to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs). Once the DFARs are updated in the first half of 2025\, CMMC pre-award contracting requirements will start to be phased into DoD contracts. \nThe CMMC program is designed to ensure that federal contract information (“FCI”) and Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) are sufficiently protected by government contractors. For example\, the CMMC program verifies that the requirements of DFARs 252.204-7012 are met by DoD contractors who handle CUI\, and the requirements of FAR 52.204-21 are met by federal contractors who store\, process or transmit FCI. \nThis webinar will review the CMMC program final rule\, the expected implementation timeline and resources to support adoption. \nWho should attend: \nIndiana small business leaders/owners who want to protect their businesses with basic information security controls\, and/or who want to pursue DoD/federal contracts.

DESCRIPTION:Indiana Semiconductor Industry Potential Opportunities\nBillions of dollars in semiconductor/microprocessor manufacturing investment will be starting in Indiana. \n\nSouth Korean chip manufacturer SK Hynix has chosen West Lafayette as the site for its new $3.9B packaging plant.\nIllinois-based NHanced Semiconductors will invest more than $236 million to build and equip a 100\,000-square-foot facility at the WestGate@Crane Technology Park.\nEverspin Technologies\, a publicly-traded company based in Arizona\, plans to establish a 10\,000-square-foot fabrication and R&D site at WestGate One.\nTrusted Semiconductor Solutions (TSS) and ReliableMicro Systems are also expanding their operations in Indiana.\n\nMuch has been written in public press releases about these investments\, and the workforce education and research initiatives that are complimentary to this industry. However\, little has been published regarding how existing Indiana businesses can take advantage of the new opportunities as a result of the significant investment. \nIn this workshop\, we will: \n\nProvide an overview of the semiconductor manufacturing growth in Indiana.\nShare the results of a semiconductor industry study focused on Indiana that highlights potential opportunities.\nAsk for feedback regarding the support that your business would require to address the potential opportunities. \n\nWe will use this feedback to apply for grant funding to support your diversification efforts.\n\n\n\nWho should attend? Business owners and leaders who are interested in diversifying their revenue streams. \nWorkshop length: 2 hours
