APEX Accelerators (formerly the Procurement Technical Assistance Program, or PTAP) is a nationwide network of free, government-funded resources that help businesses break into government contracting. Administered by the Department of War’s Office of Industrial Base Growth, the program operates through nearly 100 local offices across the country.
APEX Accelerators offer one-on-one counseling and training to help businesses register in required systems like SAM, identify contracting opportunities that fit their capabilities, prepare competitive proposals, and build teaming or subcontracting relationships. Services are free and available at every stage — from first-time exploration of government contracting to post-award support.
This session offers a foundational introduction to what APEX Accelerators do and how to connect with a local office to get started.
